Our Story
From records management to intelligent digital libraries, ExtractIQ was born out of a persistent challenge: organizations rely on decades of critical information, but too often it’s buried, fragmented, and difficult to access when it matters most.
Where it Started
ExtractIQ was born from a challenge that every established organization faces: decades of critical documents – engineering drawings, operational procedures, compliance records – locked in file cabinets, microfilm reels, and aging document management systems with no modern search capability.
Our founders spent years working inside power utilities and industrial organizations, watching teams waste hours hunting for a single drawing or specification. They realized that the problem was not lack of technology – it was the absence of a managed service that could bridge the gap between legacy records and modern digital platforms like SharePoint.
In 2020, ExtractIQ launched with a a clear mission: make every organization’s documented history accessible, searchable, and actionable.
Key Milestones
Founded to solve document retrieval challenges in regulated industries. First pilot project with a regional power utility digitized 40 years of engineering records.

AI-powered chatbot launched for historical document Q&A. Enabled natural-language queries against millions of pages of captured records with source citations.
Serving organizations across power, water, nuclear, and industrial sectors. Expanded platform to support multi-site deployments and cross-library intelligence.
